Mayada Badr said that the Ministry of Culture's interest in the culinary sector and support for its arts comes from the Ministry's belief in the comprehensive concept of culture that pertains to lifestyles and the customs, traditions, food, fashion, and other forms of cultural expressions they contain. "Our country is rich in traditional foods that reflect a wonderful cultural diversity which interest should be considered from a cultural angle''. ''Noting that the Kingdom has elements and ingredients that will help the commission in its project. We have famous foods and dishes from different regions of the Kingdom. We have skilled chefs who have achieved significant successes. All this supports us in achieving one of the Ministry's objectives, which is to deliver the culture of Saudi cuisine to the world." Mayada Badr explained that the Culinary Arts Commission would develop a strategy and regulations for the sector. To empower local talents, build the legislative system, and create operational mechanisms in cooperation with all parties and individuals active in the field as part of the integrative work that the commission will undertake. In the commission, she will serve all activists in various specialties and culinary arts and strive to provide an enabling environment that gives local talents more significant opportunities to shine and excel. The CEO of the Culinary Arts commission emphasized that the responsibility entrusted to the commission is great. The Ministry of Culture has placed cooking among its main concerns and has considered it one of its sixteen main sectors. This is an excellent responsibility through which we will interpret the Ministry of Culture's aspirations and the confidence of His Highness the Minister of Culture.
