His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Culture, appointed Mayada Badr as CEO of the Culinary Arts commission, as part of the Ministry of Culture's endeavors to develop and organize the culinary sector in the Kingdom and empower its practitioners. Mayada Badr is one of the distinguished Saudi competencies in the culinary arts. She has outstanding experience in the field, as she has represented the Kingdom on many international occasions. Important stations mark her scientific and academic career. She is a graduate of the International School of "Cordon Bleu" in Paris; she also trained under internationally renowned chefs' supervision. Mayada Badr, through the new commission, will be responsible for regulating and developing the cooking sector, promoting its components, and supporting and encouraging practitioners in it. She is working on developing a strategy for the sector and follow up on its implementation. The fledgling commission will be a reference for everything related to the management and organization of the sector. The commission will be responsible for issuing licenses for activities related to the commission's work field, organizing conferences and exhibitions within the limits of its competence, holding courses and adopting professional training programs, and encouraging research, studies, and Culinary Arts development. The new commission comes within the Ministry of Culture's framework to advance the local cultural sector in various creative directions. It is one of the eleven new cultural commissions launched by the Ministry to drive the cultural sectors that shape the Saudi cultural scene.
